Lawrence Vargas' inspirations stem from his rich and varied lineage. It is the influence of early Aztec Indian beginnings as well as his roots in Mexico, Spain and South America that emerge as a unique blending of cultures in his art.
This "mestizo" or mix of cultures intertwined with the faith and tradition of his New Mexican ancestry are reflected in his distinctive style.
His sons, Lawrence Charles and David developed their father's passion for art. Their work is also featured here. Despite Lawrence Charles untimely passing, his work is still inspiring others through the Foundation his family set up to help other children.
